Mixtape Saturday Volume 3 - 2003-12-16 16:00:18

© The Wu-Tang Corp.- 2003-12-16

Okay okay, we know that it’s not Saturday today but we missed last Mixtape Saturday so we kind of moved it to a Tuesday today. Hmm, maybe we should change the title of Mixtape Saturday. Oh well, here are some of the latest songs dropped on the mix tapes in the last week. Brand new and just in is Ghostface Killah with a new (short) song named Beatles. It’s vintage Ghostface, meaning that probably nobody else could rock this. Ghost is also trying to create a buzz for himself and to hype up his upcoming Pretty Tony album, and what’s better than to work together with the hottest female star out right now? Yes, another collaboration with Beyoncé is out, the Me, Myself & I remix features Ghost. If you ask me, these two make a perfect team and it should be great for his sales.

Raekwon has been in the news a lot, not just in the news but also on the mix tapes. J-Love produced a song for him named Straight Out The Gutter, could anyone from Universal call me and explain me why this wasn’t on The Lex Diamond Story? Speaking of J-Love, he also remixed Clientele Kids which is in my opinion also better than the original on the album. Oh well, can’t have everything I guess... however people waiting for a Mobb Deep and Raekwon collaboration don’t have to search that far anymore since Raekwon delivers a verse on Prodigy’s track named The Untouchables. This track will turn up on DJ Kay Slay’s compilation album, Streetsweepers Part 2, due out early 2004.

You can also find a freestyle by Method Man and Sauce Money on the [nburl=http://www.wutangcorp.com/clan/music.php]music page[/nburl], live on Kay Slay’s Drama Hour.

This is not all though, because we’re a little late maybe we should give you guys a little something extra... Hmm, let me guess. Okay! There’s a Run remix out which isn’t really that much different from the original with Jadakiss and Ghostface. This one features a new artist, and fairly unknown, Comp. For fans of the Method Man joint, Drummer with Ghostface, Streetlife and Trife should risk a speeding ticket and get to the music page as fast as possible since I’ve just uploaded a high quality, non DJ version of this track.

Reviews for these tracks only can be dropped at mixtapesaturday@wutangcorp.com.
