Here’s some disappointing news for some fans that are expecting RZA to come to their town this week: He had to cancel a few shows due to health problems. He was taken to the hospital two days ago with lung problems, which is the reason for the cancellation for the RZA shows this week. The doctors advised him to take some rest; he’ll back on stage after Saturday.
More disappointing news, the wildly praised song Run by Ghostface Killah and Jadakiss, produced by RZA, can’t make it to Ghostface’s upcoming album. Unfortunately the sample can’t be cleared; the song originally samples The Flinstones. However, don’t loose your hope all of a sudden since a band re-recorded the sample live, they’re now working on the final mix for the ‘new’ version of Run.
Meanwhile, Mathematics is working on his second album right now. He’s in the studio recording the follow-up from his solo album Love, Hell Or Right (Da Come Up) which was released earlier this year.
Also, we know you have been hearing this a lot this year but Masta Killa’s album is almost done. There are only three songs left to be mixed.
At the 36 Chambers Studio they’re busy putting a DVD together from the big World According To RZA show which was held earlier this year by RZA in Köln (Germany). Beretta 9, DJ Sueside and German artists such as Xavier Naidoo were all present at the event and will also appear on the DVD. |
